Today We Celebrate The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Who would’ve been 92 today, but was assassinated allegedly by James Earl Ray on April 4, 1964. We all have an idea who was behind it. Dr. King was a Baptist minister and activist who was the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement. Hated by many and loved by more. Everything that Dr. King fought for is still going on today. Has anything changed? Has it gotten worse or better?

One thing for sure is racism is still alive and well. Innocent black men and women are being lynched by the people WE pay to protect us. 2 weeks ago we seen a racist mob bum rush the Capitol Building hoping to kill government officials. They were safely escorted out after the ruckus. I wouldn’t call what they did 2 weeks ago a protest but when black people gather peacefully we are met with the same results as our forefathers did in the 60s. Violence by the people. So on this day ask yourself. Is it getting better?
