In 1987 there was Double Dragon. The trend of vigilante video games continued in 1988 with Bad Dudes. Then there was the arcade smash Final Fight in 1989. Then SEGA unleashed Streets of Rage on his 1991. Followed by the sequal in 92′ and the 3rd installment in 94′.
26 years later part 4 makes its return this Thursday April 30th in an all-new continuation of SEGA’s iconic arcade brawler series. Featuring hand-drawn visuals from the team behind 2017’s gorgeous Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remake.
The 4th installment builds upon the classic trilogy’s gameplay with new mechanics, a fresh story and a gauntlet of dangerous stages with a serious crime problem which recalls its classic gameplay. An entirely original arcade-style beat em up thanks to the expertise of Guard Crush Games and Dotemu. Check out the video trailer below!
UPDATE: SOR4 is now available on PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam, GOG, Humble) and X-Box One. You can also Pre-order the limited physical version from Limited Run Games. A great look for collectors.
