Steve Nash Out As Brooklyn Nets Head Coach

Steve Nash is out as Brooklyn Nets head coach after 2 full seasons with the team. The franchise acquired Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden in 2019. Then moved on from Harden to Ben Simmons last season. From the NBA bubble, to Kyrie not getting vaccinated, to KD wanting Nash fired this summer. This has been an interesting coaching experience for Steve Nash to say the least.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski the split was mutual, but the writing was on the wall since last season. Outside distractions to Nash’s lack of coaching experience led to the split. Assistant coach Jacque Vaughn will be the acting head coach for tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls. News has just broke that former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka will be named the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets within the next 24-48 hours.
