Hall of Fame coach and player Dawn Staley led her Number 1 seed South Carolina Gamecocks to a 64-49 victory against the number 2 seed UConn Huskies; led by legendary head coach Geno Auriemma. This is the Gamecosks 2nd NCAA title. South Carolinas Destanni Henderson led all scorers with 26 points including 5 three pointers. Paige Bueckers led the Huskies with 14 points.
