15 years ago German shoe brand Adidas purchased Reebok for $3.8 billion hoping to take over the sneaker wars against U.S. rival Nike. Here we are today and Adidas has put the brand on sale for 2.8 billion!
Most notable Reebok athletes include the Rein Man Shawn Kemp, Dee Brown, Frank Thomas, Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’neal just to name a few. In 2011 Swizz Beatz was named their creative director.

The rumor has been talking this week about Entrepreneur and Hip-Hop mogul Master-P and former NBA Allstar Baron Davis is teaming up with a financial team to acquire the brand. Personally as a retired sneakerhead i don’t know if i want these two running the brand. I’d rather someone like Shaq or even have Iverson part of it. Master-P’s past sneaker designs did not fare well with the public. The famous line form Lloyd Banks echoes til this day. “It’s about to get uglier than a Master-P sneaker!” All jokes aside this would be a great power move if they can resurrect the brand.
