#NewMusicMonday
It was a pretty good music week and for New Music Monday we have 3 releases for you to listen to! Harlem’s own rider man Jim Jones, Bomptons YG and Lefrak City, Queens artist Naji P!
First we’ll start with Jones. man all I can say is he has evolved from hype-man, muscle to to a respected lyricist in his own right. “El Capo” is produced entirely by the Heatmakerz that has that nostalgic NYC soul. I can’t lie, but every track with Jm and Cam is fire and my fav track is whgen harlem and Buffalo NY link up on “To Whom it May Concern” featuring Cam’ron, Griselda Records Conway The Machine and Benny the Butcher. This track doesn’t disappoint.
Moving along to one of my fav west coasters from the Tree Top Gang YG. “4 Real 4 Real” is YG’s 4th studio album. We all felt the loss of Nipsey Hussle, but it really hit YG hard and he still put out a dope project! One of my favs off this is the first track that sets the tone, “Hard Bottoms and White Socks.” Growing up on Death Row Records i really felt these lines – “Everybody wanna be Pac, I’m Suge
I’m bailin’ niggas out like I’m Suge
I’m slappin’ niggas up like I’m Suge
Set these rapper niggas up like I’m Suge” Beginning to end YG didn’t let me down!
Now to TKOMG’s own Naji P who we are working with as he finishes up his 3rd offering Eternal Sunshine 2. “Bull in a China Shop” is Naji’s second release which we re-released on the label. 18 tracks of bars and dope soul beats. One of my favs off this is “Rags to Richest” and “Pressure”. Give all three a listen and leave a comment below!
