Former Minneapolis/ Los Angeles Lakers legend Elgin Baylor passed away yesterday at the age of 86
The No. 1 draft pick in 1958, NBA Rookie of the Year in 1959, 11-time NBA All-Star, and a 10-time member of the All-NBA first team, was also named one of the top 50 NBA players in history. In his 14 seasons with the Lakers he appeared in the NBA finals 8 times. Baylor also spent 22 years as general manager for the Los Angeles Clippers. He won the NBA Executive of the Year Award in 2006.
Baylor died on March 22, 2021, at age 86 of natural causes. He was survived by his wife Elaine, his son, Alan, and daughter, Alison.
