Last week reports came out in a New York Times article that Jon Gruden former coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, but then an ESPN analyst sent an email describing DeMaurice Smith, the African American executive director of the N.F.L. Players Association has “lips the size of Michelin tires.” Why is he talking about another mans lips? I don’t know. He then apologized saying he isn’t racist and he is not that type of person. He then said it’s a term he uses for people who lie, “rubber lips”. The coverup is as offensive as the insult.
The following more emails came out where he used every slur in the book. This was found in an investigation of the Washington Football Team’s owner Dan Snyder and team president Bruce Allen. From calling the commissioner a pussy to saying Rams coach shouldn’t have been pressured into drafting a queer (Michael Sam).
He was fired while Monday Night Football was on the air a few hours after the new emails became public. This is just the beginning as more and more is being leaked out everyday. Stay tuned.
