Joe Biden Wins 2020 Presidential Election

Joe Biden has won the 2020 Presidential election and will be the 46th President of the United States of America. Kamala Harris will become the first Black Woman to be Vice President. You can almost call it a landslide victory by Biden. Winning states that Trump expected to win and that he has won in the previous election. Biden also recorded the most votes ever in an election with over 74,446,452 votes (50.5% of the total). Joe Biden won with 273 electoral college votes to Trumps 213.

Biden and Harris have a checkered past involving the incarceration of Black people. Biden’s contribution to the 94 Crime Bill which he has said was a mistake. Harris as a District Attorney in the Alameda County District. Will their plans on prison and police reform, healthcare, legalization of marijuana make a difference? We’re going to have to wait and see. For now we can look forward to whats to come with this new leadership.
