Extra Precautions to be Taken For Inauguration

The Inauguration of the 46th President of the United States Joe Biden will go on Wednesday January 21st as scheduled. Extra precautions are being taken in light of the Capitol building takeover on January 6th that claimed at least 5 lives.

This prompted the FBI to vet all of the 25,000 National Guard troops coming into Washington for the Inauguration. From non-scalable fencing around the US Capitol to the closure of the National Mall and streets in downtown DC, officials are taking every necessary action to ensure the presidential transition occurs smoothly.

The Secret Service is in charge of event security, but there is a wide variety of military and law enforcement personnel involved, ranging from the National Guard and the FBI to Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department, U.S. Capitol Police and U.S. Park Police. All officers and military personnel are being screened for any extremist connections they may have. TBH that should’ve been done before they were handed a license to shoot.
