Mr. Marius who started the league in his hometown of Harlem in 1982, helped cement New York City as the MECCA of street basketball and also merged the worlds of hip-hop and basketball.

Celebrities such as Jay Z, Cam’ron, Jadakiss, Chris Brown and Diddy as well as NBA superstars such as LeBron James and Kobe Bryant are among the many to make appearances at Rucker Park and helped contribute to the culture there.

We would like thank him for his work with the community and creating such amazing memories for us here in New York City.
