Last Friday the Boston Celtics suspended Coach Ime Udoka for 1 Year for violating team policies. Including having a “consensual” relationship with a Boston Celtics staffer as well as making “unwanted” comments.
The news broke early Thursday morning with social media going a buzz with everyone trying to figure out who is the woman in question. It lead to people posting every woman that worked for the Celtics Organization. It is speculated that Ime Udoka “allegedly” had a relationship with a Celtic VP’s wife. TMZ reported she was also in charge of his travel and even handled his fiancee travel arrangements as well. Talk about messy! Udoka made the following statement below and you can watch the Celtics press conference that aired Friday morning.
“I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down. I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.” – Ime Udoka
