The 45th President of the United States Donald Trump is being impeached for the 2nd time. Senators are deciding whether to convict the former president of incitement of insurrection after a mob of his supporting domestic terrorists overran the U.S. Capitol in a deadly attack on January 6th that left 5 dead. Including 1 capitol police officer.
The quote on quote experts believe Trump will likely be acquitted, but senators still have to sit through hours of arguments from House impeachment managers and the president’s attorneys. The House impeached 45 on January 13th which ten House Republicans joined every Democrat in voting to impeach him.
If Trump is convicted, the Senate can take a second vote to bar him from holding office again, Schumer said Monday. Democrats feel that would be an appropriate punishment. I rather jail.
