Carmelo Anthony has not played since Nov. 8, 2018, when he appeared in the first 10 games as a member of the Houston Rockets last season. The Blazers have tried at different times in the past to add Anthony and made an attempt to acquire him when he was with the Knicks. A few years back the star backcourt tandem of CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard tried recruiting Melo as well.
Portland is lagging at the bottom of the Western Conference standings with a 4-8 record, having lost its past two games. Anthony, 35, will join the Blazers on their upcoming six-game road trip that starts Saturday against San Antonio, a source said. This is great news to hear. Hopefully he can help the Blazers get back on track. #StayMe7o
